The MRH advanced, digital non-destructive meter is ideal for
measuring moisture content in drywall, wood, roofing, siding, masonry and other
construction materials.
The Tramex MRH offers deep signal penetration up to 1.25 inch
(30 millimeters), and can detect elevated moisture levels through most covering
materials such as ceramic or porcelain tile, carpet, vinyl flooring, VCT tile, floor
laminates, drywall, wall coverings, roofing membranes and more, without having
to puncture or damage the tested material.
The RWS works by measuring electrical impedance,
transmitting harmless signals from the electrodes at the base of the instrument
into the area under test. These signals measure the variation in electrical
impedance, which is translated into a relative moisture content reading and
displayed instantly on the large LCD screen.
The MRH works with an optional intelligent humidity probe that plugs into the meter converting
it to a versatile digital hygrometer that measures humidity of the
building environment and other components such as flooring
to comply with ASTM F 2170-02 and ASTM F2420-05, BS5325: 2001 and BS
8203:2001. In this optional hygrometer mode, the MRH evaluates the capacitance of the
RH probe sensor, which varies based on the relative humidity of the testing area,
and displays this capacitance as percentage relative humidity (%RH).
