Spray Foam Insulation Polyurethane Foams

The major role for Polyurethane Spray Foam Insulation use in construction industries is for perimeter wall insulation, which is growing rapidly in the residential sector.

Polyurethane Spray Foam Insulation has many energy saving, moisture barrier, and air containment advantages over conventional cellulose and fiberglass insulation products. Rigid polyurethane spray foams can be used for roofs, insulating buildings, refrigerated transport, water heaters, residential and commercial refrigeration because the insulation rating, durability, moisture resistance, and high strength are mandatory. Polyurethane foams can also be used for packaging, flotation, adhesives, furniture, cavity filling, and architectural design.
 
Polyurethane Spray Foam is created via a chemical reaction with 2 liquid chemical mixed together. The first agent is an isocyanate, also called the 'A' component, & a secondpolyol resin, known as the 'B' component. As the liquids are combined (usually at a 1 to 1 ratio), the chemical reaction creates a rigid to semi-rigid insulation foam. The liquid solution starts reacting in a few seconds and expands 20 to 30x more volume than its liquid state. When cured the spray foam solidifies to become polyurethane foam.
 
Studies show that up to 40 percent of energy loss in a building is because of heat gain or loss through windows, roofs and walls. Polyurethane foam is a phenomenal for thermal insulation and roofing due to its unsurpassed water resistance & air sealing characteristics for your building or home with insulation R-values in the range of 6 1/2 to 7 per inch.
