The MSA 506262 has been designed for evacuation or self rescue from elevated work areas.

The MSA 506262 is quick enough to enable safe evacuation and slow enough to avoid injuries when landing. The constant descent rate is approximately 6 ft per second.

The Dynescape system features a rugged steel housing, installation bracket, internal spring loaded drum onto which the wire rope is wound & a line snaphook for attachment to a worker's body harness. A centrifugal braking mechanism attached to the housing acts on the drum which limits rate of descent. MSA's Dynescape is made to be utilized in conjunction with components such as
  • Suitable anchorage connectors
  • Intermediate anchorage connectors (such as a carabiner)
  • Body support (such as a full body fall protection harness w/ front D ring)
The Dynescape can lower personnel that weigh from 75 pounds (34 kilograms) to 310 pounds (140 kilograms) at a controlled rate, continuously for the line length. The descent rate varies which is dependent on the individual's weight, 1.6 feet / sec. (0.5 meters / sec.) min. to 6.6 feet / sec. (2 meters / sec.) max. The lifeline will automatically retract, enabling multiple descents. It is designed for the evacuation many users, 1 at a time. Every user must be have suitable body support before descent.
