The 212-2 counts and sizes particles in 8 digital bins, then reports the data on your command. All of the 8 channels may be configured in the field to your particular customer's requirements.
Method of Operation
The 212-2 uses an optical sensor with laser diode circuitry & light scatter technology for detection, sizing, and counting particles. The detected data is then output as the number of particles per each size range.
The 212–2 features a minimum 0.3 micron sensitivity factor and can size particles that are a mximum of 10 microns. Particles that are 10 microns or larger are counted and sized as if they were 10 microns. Met One's 212–2 features a lower wavelength Laser Diode which provides 10,000 hrs. of operation.
The 212-2 Particulate Profiler calculates data every sample period & downloads through a serial cable. Data can then be retrieved with a serial device such as a Serial printer, Palm top, Laptop, etc., and be analyzed with software programs like excel.
Utilizing the software package included, information is graphed and saved automatically in real time. The software enables the 212-2 to be remotely controlled. Date/time, Sample time, unit ID, alarm levels, reset, stop, start, and rolling average commands can be excecuted from your laptop using the software.
Installation
The 212-2 particle counter Installation is fast & easy and can be mounted on a pole, bench, wall, or on a tripod. Because of its weatherproof casing, you can install the 212-2 in almost any outdoor environment.
