Megger BITE3 BITE 3 Battery Impedance Test Equipment

The Megger BITE3 Battery Impedance Tester can test the condition for lead acid battery cells to a maximum of 2000Ah by testing the most relevant battery parameters.

Megger's BITE3 impedance test equipment measures cell voltage, internal ohmic testing, cell impedance, intercell connections resistance & ripple current. Megger is an industry leader by being the first manufacturer to introduce the BITE3's capability to measure float current & harmonic contents of ripple current with a built in spectrum analyzer. It also has firmware you can upgrade via the Internet & features multi-language support.
 
The Megger BITE3 measurements, together with specific gravity, temperature & other battery test data, provides the most adequate basis to evaluate the health of battery systems from terminal plate - terminal plate. The charger's health can also be determined (with ripple current & harmonic content). Megger advises that battery impedance measurements using your BITE2P be made as part of your battery maintenance operations with test readings taken & recorded semi-annually with flooded batteries & quarterly with VRLA. 
 
Compared to load cycle tests which are time consuming, non-predictive and expensive (however provides the actual capacity test data), Megger's BITE3 is reliable, fast & easy to use. With short testing durations 1 person may precisely, quickly, and easily measure the string and cell parameters without the battery systems taken off-line. The BITE3 processor uses the Windows CE OS & stores over 1 million cell test data results with all string configurations, and is menu driven (easy navigation). Its innovative data analysis displays provide instantaneous feedback for cell impedance status. 
 
The report's 1st part is numerical data, the 2nd part is a deviation of impedance graph, & the 3rd part is a deviation of impedance graph in ascending order of impedance. The impedance graph (ascending) groups together your weakest cells for easy analysis. Using an optional printer, the report is printed & stored at the test for future referencing.
