Tone Generator and Amplifier Probe Kit Features
Tone Generator
Use the IDEAL tone generator 62-160 to apply a tone signal to a wire pair or single conductor, and trace with an amplifier probe 62-164. When used with the amplifier probe, the tone generator enables technicians to identify a wire at a cross connect, within a bundle, or at a remote end. It can be used on coax, twisted pair, and de-energized AC wiring.

Amplifier Probe
The Amplifier Probe is designed to identify and trace wires or cables within a group without damaging the insulation. It enables pin point identification even with congested cable bundles. The 62-164 can also be used with all tone generators.
