The Fluke 435-II is the perfect instrument to log energy. With the Energy Loss Calculation function, the 435-II can measure monetary cost of power wasted because of bad power quality. The 435's energy monetization capability enables you to find the energy waste factors in your facility in order to determine solutions to save energy. Advanced power quality measurement along with the rest of the package provide you with a powerful troubleshooting asset.
PowerWave data capture For many users, load switching can be a source of problems with power quality. During load switch on, the draw of current occassionaly may cause voltage drop to levels that cause other pieces of equipment to fail. Fluke's PowerWave function is available on the 437 and 435 Series II Analyzers allows you to capture frequency, current and voltage signal data simultaneously with high speed so you can see which interactions are causing potential problems. PowerWave goes way beyond the standard power quality measurement; the PowerWave quick capture mode allows you to characterize system dynamics.Waveforms for current and voltage are captured continuously for a specified time & then displayed on screen with high detail; and power waveforms are derived from your data. Half cycle RMS data for current, voltage, frequency, and power can be securely stored and later retrieved for convenient analysis. This innovative feature is perfect for the testing of UPS systems and stand-by generation systems where dependable switchon is vital.Power inverter efficiencies Power inverters convert DC current and into AC current, and vice versa. A typical solar generation system will usually have an inverter which converts the DC energy from its solar cells into useable AC power. Most inverters can also decline in performance over time & should to be tested. By comparing output power with input power your system efficiency can be determined and evaluated. The 437 and 435 II units can measure efficiencies of inverters by the simultaneous measurment the AC and DC system power to evaluate the power loss of the conversion process.
With the System Monitor you can check your performance issues against the EN50160 easily A Single button push can trigger the innovativeSystem Monitor which provides an overview of your power system's performance, & can check compliance of inbound power to the EN50160 limits, or even to your individual specifications. Overviews are shown on the screen along with bars that are color coded to clearly indicate which of your parameters fall do not fall within the limits.
System Monitor overview screen provides instant data for harmonics, voltage, frequency, flicker, and the amount of swells and dips that fall outside the limits. Detailed lists are provided for all events not within your limits.
