Rotary Laser Levels are levels that produce a 360 degrees laser line around a work space. Some rotary models are for indoor use only, while other models are equipped to handle both indoor and outdoor applications. Rotary lasers have a much greater distance range than line generators and are far more ideal for large jobs and outdoor site work.

Plumb Lasers, aka “dot lasers”, produce a solid or constant reference dot on a wall or work surface. These lasers are usually used when you require that something be plumb or level, but do not need a full laser line. Plumb lasers come in a wide range of dot patterns for square and plumb configurations.

Pipe Lasers are used to assist in grade setting as well as pipe alignment.  They produce a single dot from the front of the laser.

Laser Distance Meters, aka "electronic tape measures", are not used as a reference tool like the construction laser tools listed above. Instead, the laser distance meter employs a laser beam to automatically measure distance at the push of a button.
