AEMC 3711 2117.60 Clamp On Ground Resistance Tester

The AEMC 3711 Clamp On Ground Resistance Tester measures small grid and ground rod resistance through any season, without the need for auxiliary ground rods. The AEMC 3711 replaces the AEMC model 3710.

Check Resistance on Multiple and Single Rods or Grids

Clamp on Ground Resistance Testers are used in multi grounded systems without disconnecting the ground under test. The 3711 easily clamps around the ground rod or conductor and measures the resistance to ground. By taking measurements on intact ground systems, the operator also verifies the quality of the bonds and grounding connections. Continuity and Resistance of grounding loops around buildings and pads may also be measured.

3711 Features

  • Fast and easy clamp on operation with no leads, auxiliary rods, or spacing requirements. Neutral service disconnect unnecessary
  • Direct reading of ground resistance from 0.01 to 1200 Ohms
  • Direct reading of ground loop resistance and continuity
  • Direct reading of phase current or ground leakage from 1 mA to 30 Arms
  • Large jaw design with 1.25 inch (32 millimeter) window will fit up to 1000 MCM cables
  • Auto off power
  • UL and CE Mark approved
  • Durable Lexan body and head construction resists breakage
  • Patented design

  • Measure electrical grid and ground rod resistance
  • Test multi grounded systems without ground rod disconnection under test
  • Measure continuity and resistance of grounding loops around buildings and pads
  • Measure leakage current flowing to ground or circulating in ground systems
  • Conduct field surveys, retrieve data, then analyze readings later
  • Use on telecommunication sites and cell towers
  • Use on spas, pools, and other consumer installations
