FLIR's B250 thermal imaging camera is under 2 pounds, making it a versatile camera for detecting unnecessary loss of energy, water intrusion, and other damaging conditions in buildings and other types of facilities. The camera's ultra light weight and comfortable design is attributed to a compact, advanced IR detector and state of the art battery design.
The B250 is a mid tier camera in the B Series and is upgradeable so your investment in software, technology, and training is protected. You can append higher model B Series features as the needs of your valuable enterprise change and grow. Novice as well as experienced thermographers will benefit from the simple usage and productivity features of the B250 unit. This camera also includes high resolution and touch screen features, conveniently allowing you to save text, personal sketches, and markers to your thermal images, directly on your infrared unit in the field. The onscreen sketch, marker, and text touch capabilities help you ensure and increase productivity as well as enhance your reports.
A headset connection to your B250 enables you to narratively document information along with the images you take. Inspect with confidence using the FLIR’s exclusive humidity, dew point, and insulation alarms. These alarms allow easy scanning of buildings and homes to expose conditions that cause damage and loss of energy. The B250 unit's 70 mK thermal sensitivity helps you find trouble quickly. The camera comes with a 200 x 150 IR resolution which results in 30,000 pixels. That's over 30 percent more detail than our competitor’s brands which have a 160 x 120 pixel resolution.
A 25 degree lens is included for normal views. Also available is a 45 degree lens for wide-angle images, and a 15 degree telephoto lens for long-range work. The T series lenses are interchangeable and easily attach to the B250 body. Tilting only the optic, allows intuitive and productive use of the unit for long periods of time. This can benefit organizations that conduct detailed building surveys regularly. Focusing features of the B250 allow a wide range of users to take advantage of the camera, whether being in manual or automatic mode. Everyone can take very sharp and vivid thermal images and produce concise temperature results and analysis. The camera's 2 times digital zoom helps you zoom in to get extremely detailed imagery in a wide range of thermal applications.
The B250 also comes standard with an integral visible light camera which adds visual information to your reports. The on camera Picture in Picture (PIP) image fusion capability is included as well so you can see a scalable infrared image which is overlaid on a visible light image. A standard video-out port allows you to display images on a virtual reality Heads Up Device (HUD).This provides the user to utilize the unit in tight spots and various special applications. T Series imagers also connect to a standard off the shelf video display device for showing thermal images to a big audience.
With the USB port connection, you can conveniently download images from the B250 to your PC. The valuable data collected in the field, such as temperature data, object parameters, text, and image information is documented with the IR image files you download to your computer. This simplifies the collection of data and provides efficient processing of information after you are done working in the field.
