Course fees include three day classroom and field training plus study materials. Students will then sit for the online exam in class and schedule time to take their field exam, which will be proctored by the instructor for each individual student. The written exam is a two hour, online test containing 100 questions (50 questions if you are already a HERS rater).

You must pass the exam with a minimum score of 70% on the overall exam, and 85% on the CAZ and CO modules to obtain BPI certification.

Field tests will be scheduled on a first come, first served basis during the two days following the training period and will last up to two hours.
